Campus location: in or near a small/medium city (pop. 75,000-300,000)
Chico's campus of 119 acres is set in the middle of a picturesque college town, offering easy access to downtown facilities, outdoor activities, sports, the arts, and cultural events. The town of Chico is located in the Central Valley of California 90 miles north of Sacramento and 174 miles northeast of San Francisco. Chico is served by the Greyhound bus line and Amtrak trains. United Express provides air service to the Chico Municipal Airport located within 10 minutes of downtown. A municipal bus line, CATS, provides bus service throughout the community, and Butte County Transit provides service throughout Butte County. Student ride free on local buses serving the Chico area.
