ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

HMC is very selective in admission.  Typically, about 2500 students apply to HMC. we generally admit about 30% of the candidates, and enroll a freshman class of about 190.  All applications arte submitted through the Common Application.

HMC requires all candidates to submit the SAT or ACT-plus writing. Regardless of which of these tests the student submits, the student must also submit at least 2 SAT subject exams, one of which must be Math2.

As an entrance requirement, but not as an admission requirement, each enrolling student must have completed a full year course in high school or a semester course at a local college in Physics, in Chemistry, and in Calculus.  The course need not be AP or IB level.
